Something About Her P1

I try to push through the hall as groups of kids pass by, bumping into me. Once I get to class, just like every day, I take my seat in the back of the room away from everyone. I hate people. The bell rings as everyone starts sitting down, the teacher walks to the front of the room.

"Everyone sit down, we have a new student today so be nice."

I didn't even notice the girl standing by the door. She's cute. She has medium length hair, she's petite too. Her eyes are a nice brown, a few shades darker than her hair.

Mr. Wilson gestures her to the front of the room. "Everyone, this is our new student, Lauren. Say hi to everyone, Lauren."

She lifts her hand a little and gives a slight wave. She is looking down and it seems she just wants to get to her seat as quick as possible. Her wish is granted as Mr. Wilson gestures her in my direction.

"You can sit right over there. Unfortunately the only seat we have is in the back of the room so that will be your new seat."

'Unfortunately that seat is right next to me' I think. I picked this seat to be away from everyone and now here come this Lauren chick. I don't mind that much though, I just hope she doesn't end up hating me. I've never been good at talking to people so I take out a paper and scribble 'Hi' in the neatest handwriting I can. I put the paper on her desk as she just looks at it for a second. She then picks it up and begins writing back. She hands the paper back to me.

I stare at the paper for a few seconds. Almost scared of what she wrote, but I quickly get over it and unfold the paper. In really neat handwriting under my 'Hi' she wrote 'Hey, passing notes already?' I can't help but blush a little but I hide it. I grab my pencil and begin to respond to her. 'Well I just wanted to get to know you. Please don't take that the wrong way' then I fold the paper before handing it back to her.

She undoes the paper and turns to me. She flashes me a slight smile with her hair in her face. She turns away from me, continuing to reply to my writing. Once the note is handed back I glance at the script under my own. 'It's fine, I'm Lauren. You probably already know that. I know this may be soon but we should hang out after school, are you free?' I read this slightly in shock but still manage to smile. Under her words I write 'Yeah, I'm free, what did you have in mind?' then hand her back the sheet of paper. She flashes me another beautiful smile, before the paper is back on my desk 'Meet me by the parking lot at the end of the day' I smile at her and nod.

"Okay, see you then" I whisper just loud enough for her to hear me. Its only 4th period but I already can't wait to see what happens.
